At 6:45 am. Haisley finally makes it out of the house practically running, and into the parking garage at work. Finding a parking space here is lie you arriving late for your very first day of college. All the seats

in class fill up fairly quickly. Aww, great a really close parking space. It looks kind of tight, but I think I can get in there. As Haisley positions her car to get in the parking space. Another player in the game of who gets the parking space (incomplete sentence). Haisley nicely pushes tre button that mechanically controls her window. And says, excuse me sir (should have quotation marks here). I know you have no way of knowing this, but that's my parking space (should have quotations here). The nicely dressed gentleman says, really (should have quotations here)? It looks likes to me, it's fair game (should have quotation marks here). Haisley says, No I was here first (should have quotation marks). The unknown gentleman says, you're right, but I'm here now (should have quotation marks). And regretfully Haisley watches on. As the unknown gentleman drives his antique sports car recklessly right into the space. Haisley is trying to keep a cool head, but she is angry.

Getting to my job interview on time, seemed impossible, considering I live almost two hours away and the interview is way across town somewhere. Which meant I had to get up extra early. And fight traffic all the way there.

In the middle of the night, I kept waking up every hour on the hour..  As soon as I dosed back off to sleep, my alarm clock went off. I jumped out of bed, splashed water over my face, took a shower, shoved a muffin in my mouth, brushed my teeth and out the door I went.

I pulled into the parking garage, eight o'clock on the dot.

I sighed. I hate to admit this, but I suck at interviews. When I think about it. I become nervous, so much, a person can see beads of sweat, trickle down my forehead.. Oh, no. Not again. My heart began beating faster than a ticking time bomb. I proceeded to bite my bottom lip, until blood seeped out, to take my mind off of what was happening, which created a whole new set of problems.

I think, I'm having an anxiety attack. My hands touched my chest, when I remembered this exercise...  Deep breaths in. Deep breaths out.

Wait a minute. Are parking garages safe? Why do parking garages give me the creeps? I can hear every noise, including the sound of a pin drop, whenever I'm in one. There's this haunting noise, very familiar to the sound of a generator. Almost always humming in my ears. And wearing high heels are the worse. Click. Clack. Click. Clack.

Mental note to myself. Never put on 3-inch stilettos in a parking garage. Again...

The last time, I was in a parking garage. I almost broke my ankle, walking in a pair of heels. Hard to believe, right? I had to wear a boot for two months, because I twisted my ankle.

Dumb heels!

I know it's weird, that I think about this type of stuff. But.. What if some mask murdering or chainsaw carrying serial killer, jump out from behind, one of the parked cars and start chasing me?  Never can tell these days, be prepared for anything. And always carry a can of mace for protection. I'm starting to think, horror movies are to blame for my paranoid behavior.

Oops.. Didn't see that parking space there. It looks rather on the tight side but I think I can squeeze in it. Just when I get ready to position my car in the space. An unknown gentleman noticed the empty parking space around the same time I did and blocked me from getting it.

I tooted my horn at the gentleman, until the gentleman rolled down his window.

So, I pushed my car window button downward, just to tell this guy, a thing or two. "Excuse me, sir. I know this parking space looks tempting, but I saw it first."

The gentleman responded, "Really? What was I thinking?"

I blurted out, "apology accepted."

Of course, the mystery guy responded, "that wasn't an apology."

Then, I said, "But the rule says. First come, first serve."  It appears the gentleman tried to make amends.

"No, I don't know that rule! But here's a thought. Ladies first. Ah, ah. Not so fast. Let's race for it, whomever wins gets the space."  Out of thin air, this guy pushed down on the gas, challenging me to race. I hear, vroom, vroom.  But.. I ignored this neanderthal's childish antics, just when I thought this was the end of it. The gentleman swerved, my dream car, a maroon BMW sports car around my white Hyundai full speed ahead. Short of almost hitting me.
